Kevin Mountford | Chief Executive

Kevin co-founded PBF as Plan B Funding in 2012.  He has an extensive background in financial services marketing, including as Head of Banking at and in senior roles at leading UK brands including  Bank of Scotland, Halifax and Birmingham Midshires, where he was Head of Sales and Marketing for their Savings business.


Phil Alcock | Business Development Director

Phil leads our business development activity and was one of the initial angel investors in PBF Solutions. He brings over 20 years of experience in online sales and marketing through senior roles at high growth start-ups and international internet companies such as Yahoo! and Microsoft. Phil helped launch the first customer-facing financial comparison site in Australia and has since specialised in online customer acquisition for savings and investment propositions.


Richard Owen | Chief Marketing Officer

Richard oversees PBF’s campaign management activity for clients, as well as managing our partnerships with publishers, affiliates and aggregation platforms. His background is in marketing and strategy roles at institutions including Lloyd’s of London, Willis Group, Ernst & Young and Higham Dunnett Shaw (now part of  Capita Group).  More recently he has been a commercial adviser to a number of start-up businesses in the fintech, social media and e-learning sectors. Outside the office, Richard moonlights as a music producer and keyboard player and can regularly be seen performing at venues in Manchester and London.


Lee Stretton | Chief Operating Officer

Lee is COO at PBF and is responsible for managing the smooth operation of our  customer acquisition platforms and supporting infrastructure.  A former IT Director at MoneyExtra and Addpeople, he is a multi-skilled manager as well as a software engineer with experience across media agencies, start-ups and product distributors. A keen golfer, Lee can often be seen on the fairways of the Greater Manchester region.


Rod Hyde | Chairman

Rod has an established reputation in the VC market, consulting on corporate financing for companies preparing for external investment. As Chairman, Rod works with our senior team on the company’s next stages of development. Formerly CEO of Hasgrove, an AIM listed corporate communications, digital and design business, he is now non-exec chair of three companies.


Donald McIntosh | Chief Financial Officer

Donald is an experienced CFO specialising in taking technology companies from startup through to rapid growth, working on strategic development and sourcing funding. Previous roles have been as diverse as working in commercial finance for major airlines, through to overseeing the construction of power stations in the Philippines and bringing a liquid cooled supercomputer to market.


James Howgego | Client Services Manager

James works with clients in the Alternative Finance and Investment sectors, providing marketing and sales insight across Peer to Peer (P2P) providers and Stocks & Shares clients. A Google Analytics trainer and Digital Marketer by background, James focuses on customer acquisition and brand-building for all our non-banking clients.  Outside of work, James focuses on personal fitness, the great outdoors and expanding his whiskey horizons.


Michelle Davies | Client Services Manager

Michelle works with our retail banking clients, consulting on product pricing and promotion and overseeing online marketing campaigns from planning through to delivery and reporting.  Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and has also been known to attend a gin festival or two.


Guillaume Perton | Head of Optimisation

Gui is Head of Optimisation, responsible for ensuring campaign user journeys are optimised and that our promotion and distribution activity for clients achieves the best possible conversion rates, from clicks through to applications.  Hailing from France, Gui is an electronic music aficionado and has also recently taken up archery.


Sophie van der Singel | Campaign Manager

Sophie is a marketing expert, specialising in digital marketing for our platforms and also working on client customer acquisition campaigns.  Hailing from the Netherlands, she enjoys travel and has worked in a variety of places, ranging from New Zealand through to the Isles of Scilly.


Adam Tuffley | Head of Technology

Adam is Head of Technology, overseeing the development of our DepositSmart customer acquisition and on-boarding platforms for clients, as well as our tracking tools and white label platforms such as and



Alex Scott | Senior Developer

Alex is a senior developer working on our customer acquisition platforms for clients and partners, as well as our internal campaign tracking systems and white label platforms.  Outside of work, he is a DIY enthusiast who enjoys home improvements and hanging out with his young family.
